The Augment 360 begins with the moment after the ride, when a compact electric moped still needs a secure place to stay. Developed by Finnish micromobility company Augment with Munich designer Christian Zanzotti, it folds into a 350-millimeter-wide upright package that rolls on its own wheels. The shift turns a seated, road-capable vehicle into something that can enter an elevator and stand against a wall indoors. Its proportions feel shaped by apartment living as much as street travel.
Across the frame, the folding logic stays visible, with little bodywork hiding its movement. A low aluminum step-through tube curves into the steering column, while the tall seat structure contains the removable battery and a small storage compartment. Orange circular joints mark the pivot points, giving the dark frame a direct visual explanation of how it moves. During folding, the wheels rotate inward around the central geometry and compress the long wheelbase into a slim vertical outline.

The key engineering move by the team at Augment can be found at the front and rear hubs, where single-sided wheel supports leave each wheel free to rotate into the folded position. This architecture asks more from the frame and hinges because the 45 km/h version carries a formal L1e-B moped classification. Expanded, the vehicle measures 1,555 × 609 × 1,010 millimeters; folded, it measures 1,265 × 350 × 1,180 millimeters. That final width is the useful number. It makes the machine compatible with many modern elevators and indoor storage rooms, though older lift cabins and walk-up buildings remain a tighter fit.
At 36 kilograms with one battery, the 360 is light within the moped category while still substantial to lift for long distances. Augment positions it as a vehicle that rolls through corridors and turns in tight corners, with lifting reserved for a doorstep or a brief set of stairs. The low mass also changes its behavior at slow speed, where heavier scooters can become awkward during U-turns or indoor maneuvering. Its portability comes from pivoting and rolling instead of prolonged carrying.

In riding form, the 360 sits on 120/90-R10 tubeless tires developed for the vehicle, their broad profile giving the small frame a weightier visual stance. The reinforced sidewalls help absorb smaller road irregularities, while winter-compatible sizing extends the setup beyond dry pavement. Hydraulic disc brakes appear at both wheels, with a four-piston caliper and 200-millimeter rotor at the front and a two-piston caliper with a 180-millimeter disc at the rear. Those components pull the design toward a true moped experience while the open step-through frame keeps the silhouette lean.
Augment offers a 25 km/h City version and a 45 km/h L1e-B model. The quicker version uses a 1.2 kW continuous motor with 2.14 kW peak power and up to 105 Nm of torque, giving it enough pace for urban traffic. A centered digital display sits above the steering column, and an NFC card unlocks the vehicle at the screen. The companion app adjusts ride settings and can activate an electronic immobilizer that locks the rear wheel when movement is detected.

Beneath the seat, a 1,080 Wh lithium-ion battery can be lifted out and charged from a standard outlet. One pack delivers around 50 kilometers of real-world range and takes approximately four and a half hours to recharge with the included charger. At about five kilograms, the battery is manageable enough to take upstairs while the folded moped stays in a shared storage room. The arrangement gives riders two ways to bring power indoors: move the whole vehicle or remove the pack.
The Augment 360 treats storage as part of the vehicle’s operating cycle, extending the design process beyond speed and range. Its folding geometry has clear limits, especially in buildings with narrow stairs or older elevators, yet it addresses a common gap between compact scooters and full-size mopeds. The design keeps a seat and broad tires, along with road-ready braking and a removable battery, while shrinking the parked vehicle to the width of a narrow cabinet. That combination gives the project its character. It looks like a moped on the street and becomes a piece of movable equipment once the ride ends.
