measuring tools arrange floating compositions by iyo hasegawa

Iyo Hasegawa Unveils ANGLE at Milan Design Week 2025

Presented during Milan Design Week 2025, ANGLE by Iyo Hasegawa explores the relationship between geometry and adaptability through a series of interconnected measuring instruments. A protractor, a triangular ruler, and a straightedge shape up the installation. Made of transparent and lightweight acrylic plastic, the connections between the parts reinforce the geometric harmony, creating a suggestive space with a beautiful floating effect.

The composition allows the elements to be repositioned based on the protractor’s indicated angles, enabling variations in shape and function. The integration of these components results in a structured yet flexible arrangement that evolves with each adjustment.

ANGLE Explores Spatial Fluidity and Geometric Precision

Constructed from transparent and lightweight acrylic plastic, the installation highlights geometric precision while maintaining visual fluidity. The transparency of the material enhances the perception of depth and lightness, reinforcing the structural balance of the composition. The structures create a floating effect, further emphasizing the spatial qualities of the design. Expanding on this concept, designer Iyo Hasegawa also incorporates furniture pieces within the exhibition space that apply the same geometric principles, exploring the adaptability of form in functional design.
